Upcoming Events

Jun 14th, 2011 | Categories: News

With the weather (sort of) getting better, there are few fun activities coming up for all you cycling folk.
Next week Saturday (June 18), the City of Langley is having their Community Day parade. It starts at 10 at Fraser Highway, and the Greater Langley Cycling Coalition will be riding their bicycles to promote bicycle awareness and advocacy. See here for more details.
The following week is the City of Langley Tri-It Triathlon (June 26). Fort Langley Cyclery is helping sponsor the event and one of our mechanics will be on the scene to make sure that your wheel doesn’t fall off during the race. The triathlon is for all ages, so keep your eye for some Fort Langley Cyclery participants.
Also, on July 1st, the BC Randonneurs Cycling Club will be celebrating Canada’s 144st birthday by doing a cycling ride for 144 km. The ride starts between 8:00 and 9:00 at the Fort Langley Lions Hall. Check out their website to register.

Those Gran Fondos are Almost Here

May 26th, 2011 | Categories: News

For those of you who cannot make the Saturday morning rides and really need to start training for those Gran Fondos, we’ve decided to have Thursday evening rides. We’ll be leaving shortly after the shop closes (approx. 6:10), and we’ll probably go at a pretty steady pace for 2.5 to 3 hours. Hope to see a bunch of you out there tonight or next week!

Rain, rain, stay away!

May 17th, 2011 | Categories: News

According to the Weather Network, Vancouver is expected to have a few days of sun. Hopefully, the sun will come out for Fort Langley’s May Day celebration this coming Monday. It should be a fun day. The parade is starting at 11:00, and we’ll be able to watch it from our front doors. There is also free admission to the Fort, a bike decorating contest at 10:00, pie-eating contest, and other small town fun. See the Fort Langley official website for more info: http://www.fortlangley.com/
In other news, our Fort Langley Cyclery jerseys arrived today, and they look pretty good. (We think they make you ride a little faster, too.)

We only have a few for sale, so you might want to scope them out as soon as possible.
